The Chicago Tribune has a great article on what the loss of manufacturing jobs are doing to the economy of Dayton, Ohio. While right wing pundits were cheering the Dow hitting 14,000 (before it slipped down again), people are realizing that a job is not a job. When you lose your $80,000 a year position at Delphi, going to work at $9.45 an hour means you are employed, but shockingly, it isn't making people happy.
