If you are feeling a bit manic today, and want to level out a bit, read this story in the National Geographic on how the levee repairs have been screwed up in New Orleans. We dodged a bullet last year with the underactive hurricane season.
I was also reading a story today that Kansas is having troubles dealing with the Tornado disaster due to all the equipment that the National Guard brings to bear in these ordeals being in Iraq otherwise engaged at the moment.
I just hope we can keep the disasters on the small side until we get a competent administration in the White House.
