LAKE GENEVA, Wis. — Tommy Thompson cited a dead hearing aid and an urgent need to use the bathroom in explaining on Saturday why he said at a GOP presidential debate that an employer should be allowed to fire a gay worker.
This is exactly what we want in a Presidential candidate. If you take him at his word, he is a guy who didn't charge his hearing aid battery before an important debate, and has bladder control issues which forces him to think you should fire fags because he didn't understand the question.
How presidential can you get?
If Saturday Night Live was still any funny, they would do a scene from the Thompson administration from 2009, where Tommy bombs Iceland because he got cranky from no nap, and running out of butterscotch candies.
Are the Republicans deliberately trying to lose? It's the explanation that seems to make the most sense.
