Out of the Loop
I have been mostly out of the news loop the last few days, and just found out about the Al Gore III arrest from talking to my mother unit on the phone on the drive back. What we were discussing was the lack of a shame culture here in the U.S. In Japan, this doesn't happen to often. If you are Al Gore III, Jenna or Tonica Bush in Japan, you behave yourself to not dishonor your family.
Their are plusses and minuses to both cultural traditions. It would be a bit hypocritical of me not to make fun of Al Gore's out of control son, when I do the same about the Bush twins. I am only a partisan, not a hyperpartisan.
So, for the record, I do appreciate that while Al Gore respects the earth's biodiversity, little Al respects the pharmicopia's diversity of products in the same way. A rainforest is filled with thousands of different plants and Al Gore enjoys partaking in it's beauty. Al Gore III enjoys all the products made with those same plants in a holistic kind of way.
Seek help son. You are embarassing your dad. If you choose to take illegal drugs, have the decency not to do it in a car going 100 mph on July 4th. Yeah, no cops are out on holiday week-ends ya numbskull. It's Betty Ford time, and a sincere apology to Al and Tipper wouldn't hurt.
