Thomas Sowell has one of the most ludicrous columns I have read in ages. Apparently we liberals are all angry. Why can't we be more like the level headed Republicans and Libertarians?
Particular issues can arouse passions here and there for anyone with any political views. But, for many on the left, indignation is not a sometime thing. It is a way of life.Timothy McVeigh seemed kind of angry to me. The Operation Rescue crowd appears a bit irked. The Terri Schiavo is perfectly healthy protesters were a bit upset. The God Hates Fags demonstrators seem a bit uncivil. Eric Rudolph was unquestionably peeved. Oh. Michael Savage appears to be galled. Bill Donohue is notably vexed.
How often have you seen conservatives or libertarians take to the streets, shouting angry slogans?
I am angry but own it. The bizarre projection people like Sowell use is pathological. It's like Karl Rove concerned about vote fraud or about the military records of candidates other than George W. Bush. He and Dick Cheney are happy guys though.
It is hard to think of a time when Karl Rove or Dick Cheney has even raised his voice, but they are hated like the devil incarnate.
I think Pat Leahy appreciated when Cheney told him to "Go fuck yourself", in a stage whisper. Karl Rove may try to surpress minority votes, out CIA agents, subvert the Department of Justice. He knows how to smile though. Shouldn't unhinged liberals learn a lesson from this?
Dick Cheney may have lied us into a war resulting in three thousand four hundred dead Americans, hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis, but at the end of the day, he flashes a huge grin to his wife Lynn as they sacrifice a goat at his undisclosed location.
Cheer up liberals. Be happy just like Michelle Malkin.
