I missed this story over the week-end. Obviously, most of the media has missed this new study as well. Tax burdens are shifting away from the wealthy down to those lower down the rung at historical levels. Our tax burden including all different taxes,fees, etc. is becoming less and less progressive. It is not a coincidence that the rich are gettting much wealthier at the same time.
We need a new form of populism in this country. A candidate for president who could talk about economic injustice in a way that would not be demagogued by the mouthpieces of those who are benefitting from these policies would likely be a lock to become President. Anybody up for that challenge?
